Aie Serve’s Advisory Board Meeting – May 2013

On Monday, May 6th 2013 the first meeting for the 2013 – 2014 Advisory Board of Aie Serve took place at the Aie Serve Office from 6:00 pm till 7:30 pm. The Advisors met with the Board Members & Program Representatives to brief them about the status of the organization and its programs with an overview on future plans.
At Aie Serve, we are proud to have this team of Advisors that come from diverse backgrounds with a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge, network and ideas. Their support will help our growth and sustainability ensuring that we continue making a positive impact on youth around Lebanon and beyond.

AUB’s Center for Civic Engagement & Community Service (CCECS) in Collaboration with Aie Serve invite you to a free of charge Introductory Session about Aie Power - The Youth Platform to Transform Project Ideas into Reality on Thursday April 18th at 6pm. Details below:
Program Background:
A lot of youth aspire to make positive change in their community, whether by spreading awareness about a certain issue, empowering community groups, serving the needy, advocating for a cause or lobbying for some policy change, yet in most cases they lack the needed skills, tools and resources to achieve what they dream of.
In this context, Aie Serve, as a youth empowerment organization and through the Aie Power Program, aims at empowering those youth by giving them the needed training, coaching and financial support to achieve their aspirations
- Do you have a project idea to serve the community but don’t have the needed skills and tools?
- Do you need training and mentorship to tweak and enhance a community oriented idea?
- Do you have a creative idea and need funding to make it happen?
- Do you believe in volunteer work, respecting others, and accepting differences?

Program Background:
The role of the Non-governmental organizations has tremendously grown in the past years to become vital in solving social problems, creating awareness, and serving the community, thus giving the opportunity for many initiatives to nourish. Each organization must have solid foundations in order to be influential. Being professionally organized on the managerial, financial, and strategic levels in order to efficiently tackle problems, and lead projects is what Aie Serve aims to equip youth lead NGOs through its Aie Consult program.
